
Sports Illustrated & The American Golfer
Sports Illustrated & The American Golfer was originally created in 1936 by Stuart Scheftel. With a target market of sportsmen, the magazine focused on golf, tennis, and skiing with articles on the major sports. It was published monthly from 1936 to 1942, at which time Scheftel sold the magazine to focus on other endeavors. Syd created three covers in 1936.
